About the Author
David Hodge joined the Guitar Noise staff as a columnist in November of 1999. Currently he serves as the site’s “Lead Editor” (an in-joke as he’s always considered himself more of a rhythm player!), supervising all content as well as writing the newsletter and the Easy Songs for Beginners and Songs for Intermediate lessons.
Currently living just outside Great Barrington, Massachusetts, David still teaches privately and occasionally performs and hosts fun jams for students and friends and whoever might happen by.
David is pretty busy these days! In addition to his work at Guitar Noise, he also writes lessons for Acoustic Guitar Magazine and Play Guitar! Magazine. His first tutorial book, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Playing Bass Guitar, was published last September. He is also trying to spend more time working on his songwriting and arranging.
